News SCCA AND ASA RACING NEWS

Crispin’s crew chief has been working on the Gt 2 car in between working on the ASA circle car. The Runoffs are approaching in September so they need to get the Gt2 car race ready. They are making some changes on it to hopefully make it faster than we were in the June Sprints. National Championship Runoffs begin on September 20th thru September 26th. Starting on Monday we start qualifying thru the 23rd. On Friday the 24th we start the 13 lap races or 40 minute race which ever comes first. It looks like the Gt 2’s race on Sunday.

Crispin has been racing every Saturday night at the I 44 Speedway in Lebanon Missouri for seat time and he likes Circle Track racing. We still have a lot to learn about it but Crispin has been doing a good job driving the car.Our motor is a crate motor in which we have been running against modified motors so we are out horse powered for now.It has been very hot! Last Saturday had to be the worst night we have raced so far. The heat was terrible but no one complained and did their job as part of the crew. Driver was soaking wet but never said a word about it went on to finish 4th in the feature.Last weekend Crispin finished 5th and if our set up is better he should finish better this Saturday night.Crispin has had a lot of fans come back to the pits after the races we welcome each and everyone of them.Chat with Crispin he enjoys talking to everyone.

Left for I 44 Speedway yesterday expecting the late model to handle a lot better. Unloaded the car and went out for the hot laps. Boy the car was loose!! Crispin did a great job keeping the car out of trouble as it took a quick turn.Crew chief and the spotter Allen Ivy talked about changes to make the car handle better. Crispin went out once more the car handled alittle better but loose in 3&4. Made changes once more for the heat. The car is better need to tweek it more for the 30 lap feature. Started in the second row in the feature car stuck to the track a lot better. We are starting to find where the car is happy. Overall Crispin finished 5th which is good had problems with slower traffic.
