Crispin Beaver Named Rookie of Year At Season Banquet
February 14th, 2007
It has been a long lay off for Crispin but he has been preparing for the 2007 season by dieting and exercising while his team builds a new car. Crispin helps his grandfather oversee the work when he can. They can’t stand not racing.
The team plans to run as many COMMA races as possible along with the NASA schedule which will tour the Midwest.
The 2006 Awards Banquet was held February 10, 2007. Crispin finished 1st in the GT-2 division for the 2006 season, breaking the track record for his class and earning the Rookie of the Year designation. This was quite an accomplishment for a 13-year-old but they worked hard at it all year and it paid off. Crispin wanted to thank all the people who helped him get his car back in shape to race Sunday morning at the last event of the season. Without their help he could not have won the championship.
Crispin and his family are looking forward to the new season and want to thank all of the sponsors who have helped him without them we could not get the job done.
