Beaver Wins, Shatters Track Record
September 25th, 2006
Tulsa, Oklahoma - Thirteen-year-old racing sensation Crispin Beaver spent Sunday afternoon lengthening his points lead, winning the race and setting a track record at Tulsa's Hallett Motor Racing Circuit.
Beaver's Royal Purple/Mac's/Prather Engines Mazda RX-7 led every lap of the weekend's main event to score a class victory and the overall win in Round 7 of the GT Challenge Series. Even more impressive was Crispin's qualifying lap of 1:20.680 seconds which obliterated the old GT-2 track record by nearly half a second.
Crispin Beaver takes a solid lead into the final round of competition, scheduled for late October. He could become the youngest divisional champion in GT Challenge Series racing history.
