News Beaver Misses Win by Inches

Tulsa, OK - 13 year old Crispin Beaver's effort at a stunning come-from-behind victory in Round Five of the GT COMMA Challenge fell short by mere inches last Sunday when he lost a side by side duel with BMW driver Ryan Snyder.

Beaver started poorly after qualifying on 13th in the rain and experience fuel injection problems in practice. Though weather threatened, Crispin Andrew Beaver Motorsports chose to go with slick tires instead of rains and the gamble paid off. Crispin charged to second place in the GT-2 division and third overall despite being held up by a slower car for several laps. He then turned in the fastest lap of any car in the field for the entire race when he clipped off a circuit at 1:22.3 seconds.

Crispin's effort came up short when he took the checkered flag side by side with Snyder... transponder records showed that Snyder had won by inches. Crispin holds the GT-2 points lead as the team goes into Round Six, scheduled for September 24th.
