News 2010 Off Season Report

Crispin BeaverWe hope everyone had a good Holiday. Our family got together at our house and enjoyed the family visit. Most of the time we are on the run getting things together so it was relaxing. We don’t get that much time to socialize.

Since the layoff time Crispin’s crew chief has been getting both cars ready for this race season. Crispin will be running the GT 2 car and the Spec Miata. You don’t realize how much time it takes to work on the cars until you do it making sure every detail is done right. It is all worth it at the end of the year. When you see Crispin do as well as he has the hard labor we put in is very satisfying to all of us as a family. Crispin’s crew chief is his Grandfather so needless to say when things go right it is very rewarding. The have also gone wrong so you take the good with the bad and make the best out of it and learn from what happened.

Crispin will be running a 13B in his GT-2 car this year which Jesse Prather has put together. Jesse Prather will also be putting our Miata motor together.

Our schedule for this year has not been made yet. I think our first race is in March which is too soon but we will be ready.

Crispin and his family went to the Ozark Mountain Region Banquet in Springfield, Missouri January 16, 2010. They did a very nice job and everyone had a good time.We were all pleasantly surprised and Crispin was awarded Driver of the Year for 2009 for his region in SCCA. In GT-2 Crispin was awarded Division Champion receiving a beautiful director’s chair with his name on it, Division SCCA champion and received 3rd Place in Spec Miata Midwest Division SCCA.
