2010 June Sprints at the Milwaukee Mile
July 7th, 2010
What a great week we had at the June Sprints. My family met us there from Chicago. Everyone had a part in helping over the week end and I would like to thank them all.
It was a very busy week although we only entered the Mazda Rx7.Crispin was signed up for the Tune/Test days which went very well. Since we were at the June Sprints last year the crew chief has put a new motor 13b engineered by Jesse Prather Motorsports, shocks, springs and various other mechanical changes different from last year. During the Tune/Test we broke a tie rod. Got the car ready for Qualifying Saturday.
During our Qualifying session we broke in the 1st lap needing to call the welder out to repair the damage so we will start in the back of the Gt 2 class.
It rained last night too wet for us to take the car out can’t change our starting position any how.Went out for a short time to test the repairs. Crispin will race next.Qualified 7th in our class 24th over all. There will be 33 cars starting in the Gt group. After 15 laps of racing Crispin finished 4th in the Gt2 class and 16th over all.
The weather cooperated for our race but not the other classes I guess we got lucky.
We are going to prepare for the Runoffs hope to see everyone there.
Again I need to thank Royal Purple, Tynis Construction who came to pit for Crispin, Al’s Gas,Scott’s Rental, MAC’S Store Joplin ,Mo. and a list of others without there support we would not be able to do this.
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR RACE FANS AND SPONSORS,
